Is Russia Behind The North Korean Threats???

I wonder!   It would not surprise me to find out that this were true!  There is nothing in the Bible to indicate that anything like a Nuclear exchange is to take place between America, and North Korea, even by referring to them in some indirect descriptive form.   Surely an issue this cataclysmic would be serious enough that God would say something about it, at least in some indirect reference.   So, I would have to assume that North Korea is merely bluffing, for whatever reason, however dangerous this might seem.

But, if one factors in the Ezekiel prophecies about the seemingly imminent "Gog/Magog" invasion of the Middle-East, it makes sense that Russia (a long-time ally of North Korea) might wish to throw off suspicion of what it is intending to do, by giving America a greater issue to worry about, that  seems to be more likely to happen.  If Russia is planning to invade the Middle-East, it would surely not wish to alert America  (except for some crack-pot blog writer like yours truly, who could easily be dismissed as a lunatic), so they might instigate some Nuclear "sabre rattling" by North Korea, just to draw America's attention away from the Middle-East.  They are probably afraid of American intervention, but don't think Israel poses a serious threat to their invasion plans.  But they forgot to factor in the "wrath of God" (see Ezekiel 38: 18), which will pose a far more serious threat, by helping Israel, than anything America might do! 

Another interesting thought gathered from the news,  today...  It seems the leader of the Taliban, in Afghanistan,  is making conciliatory  gestures towards their traditional  hated rival factions in the Muslim world.   I believe the Afghan Muslims are of the Sunni sect, and as such they believe the Shiites of Iran to be "heretics" to their "true faith".   But, today it was reported that the Afghans are now "open" to a more "inclusive" system of government, after some twenty-plus years of very strict "Sharia Law".  This sounds suspiciously like an official concession for some ulterior motive, other than they simply felt it was the right thing to do.  These people are not known for giving up on their strict policies, just because others don't like them. 

I wonder if Russia has been working behind the scenes to bring about a temporary truce between these factions, for the "greater good" that both sides would agree on, in uniting to invade Israel, with Russian support, and then they would probably want to fight it out between themselves afterwards to see who controlled the Holy Land, thereafter.  As I wrote two posts ago, this kind of flimsy truce could eventually result in the blood-bath that is prophecied to take place when they meet unexpectedly fierce resistance from Israel, and in trying to retreat, "every man's sword (or modern weapon) will be against his "brother" ([see Ezekiel 38: 21]at least in the Muslim Faith).  In this way , they are prophecied to kill off 83 1/3rd% of their total invasion force, Russians included!!!

Granted, I may be trying to read too much into this, but, it 's all getting "curiouser and curiouser", to quote that great prophet, Alice, of Wonderland fame!!!     

Something Is Happening In The Universe Today

I'm not just talking about the Solar Eclipse that streaked it's shadow across the United States this afternoon.  And, I'm not only referring to the new strategic effort that President Trump announced concerning America's military approach to the war in Afghanistan. 

Perhaps the Lord is signaling His readiness to bring about His prophecied ending of the runaway evil of the international terrorists of the world.  If so, it won't be because President Trump has made a decisive announcement about how our troops will approach the enemy in Afghanistan.  That may have a significant effect upon the situation, but the end of it all will not begin to develop until the Lord decides to protect His Chosen People from the terrorist-based invasion force that will be brought against Israel, as prophecied in Ezekiel: 38, &, 39. 

Russia will instigate this invasion, and perhaps has conspired to do so already.  I can see Iran leading the way, as they have been boasting that they will for decades, and now are massed in large numbers to Israel's north, ostensibly to battle with I.S.I.S., and Al Quaida, and other Sunni Muslim terror groups that are trying to take over Syria.  Russia, in coming to the aid of their ally, Syria, has already begun to soften the situation by calling for the cease fire recently.  I wonder if they are planning some sort of treaty with the Sunni forces (i.e., the terrorists), in an effort to get a "unified Muslim " force of Sunni, and Iranian Shiites to mount the initial invasion of Israel, since both forms of Islam hate Israel, even more than they hate each other. That would explain why the force will eventually break down into a free-for-all of brutal chaos, (once they are met with stiff resistance from Israel) which the Bible describes as, "...every man's sword (or modern weapon) will be against his "brother" (in the Muslim faith, at least)". 

By this method, God will allow them to self-destruct to the tune of destroying 83 1/3rd% of their original invasion force.  It may be that the utter shock of realizing that God blesses the Israelis in a miraculous victory will so demoralize even the most murderous of the radical Muslim terrorists who survive (few, they apparently may be), that they may fear to actually carry out their previously intended terror plots.  So, while President Trump's well intended anti-terrorist plans probably can not stop the international Muslim terrorist movement, though it is likely to be light-years more effective than the Obama Administration's approach, the shock of reality that will spread across the whole Islamic world, when they realize that God has really sided with the Israelis, against them ( for something like the "umpteenth" time; will they ever catch a clue???), apparently will!!!  But Satan's demonic lies seem to be powerful enough to eventually persuade another generation of Muslim fools that there really are "seventy-two virgins" waiting for them (in Hell!?!) as a "reward" for their terrorist crimes.  This may be the impetus for the final battle of Armageddon, when God finally decides the world has had enough time to repent of the demonic lies that they have preferred over the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ!!!  There will be no more time for them, after that!!!

I gather that the real reason for the war in Syria was because the terrorists were looking to establish another "safe zone" to be their base for operating their international terror efforts, so they tried to make Iraq, and Syria into their own "Caliphate".  I guess the pressure was getting too hot in Afghanistan, so they began to look elsewhere.  President Trump's new strategy in Afghanistan may accelerate their willingness to  stop fighting in Syria, and Iraq, and unite with their hated Muslim "brothers" from Iran, against their more hated Israeli enemies.  All this may be orchestrated  by Russia's greedy desire to take over the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, and the other Gulf States, but they need to get Israel out of the picture, to be able to do it safely.  Israel is the only Middle-Eastern country that could stand up to such blatant Russian aggression, and they could certainly be expected to do so,  because they would know that a Russian conquest of the Middle-East, would not be complete until Israel was brought under control, as well. 


Simply put, God will not allow this to happen!!!  As He puts it, "...My fury will come up in my face!!!" ( Ezekiel: 38, 18), and, boy, does He mean it!!!  So much so, that the world will probably have rest from Muslim terrorism, for at least seven years (the seven-year "tribulation" period???).  I guess it will take seven years for a new generation of hate-mongers to grow up in the Muslim world, and to gain enough influence in their new European homelands to get the Antichrist to bring the Apocalyptic armies against Israel, for the final battle.  And guess who will win that one!!!

"Much Ado About Nothing..."

I borrowed this quote from one of Shakespeare's plays to illustrate my scorn for the "tempest in a teapot" scandal that the Democrats, and their almost equally liberal so-called "moderate", or "Establishment" Republicans are blustering about, resulting from the violence at the Charlottesville, Va.,  white nationalist  rally.  It's bad enough when they pretend to be outraged at the rally itself. for which I have serious doubts about their sincerity, but when they try to turn this into a public denunciation of President Trump, because he does not sufficiently do likewise, it galls me to the bone!!!  Such hypocrisy is almost as bad as the theme of the rally, itself, at least in my opinion. 

Perhaps President Trump was politically indelicate in trying to state that both sides of the chaos were to blame for the violence (although there was plenty of evidence to support his view; i.e.. the news video of a black man trying to spray a group of whites with what appeared to be an aerosol can, he had apparently lighted into becoming a portable flame thrower.)   I certainly do not agree that there were "good people on both sides" of the violence.  But, I will state that even some, if not all, of the K.K.K.,  and Neo-Nazi types seem to share some of the values that I share with President Trump, if admittedly for different reasons. 

I do not share the racist values of the white supremacists, but I am for the building of the wall along the Mexican border, for purely practical  reasons.  I don't much care if the white supremacists agree with the proposal for racist, or ethnocentric reasons.  It's enough that they support the project, and that's more for our side, opposing the equally self-serving bigots on the left, who don't.   I don't feel I have to share their racist values to vote in agreement on this particular issue.  The need to protect our nation from the evil, and potentially violent criminal types that have been sneaking into our country, greatly outweighs the "rights" of the desperate immigrants that are fleeing the violence of their own countries.   We simply can not be the savior of the world's populations, from all the evil of the world.   We stood up to our oppressors in the late eighteenth century; let them go home and stand up to theirs!  I would support helping their revolutionary efforts from here, but I do not support their cooperating with the export of their violence to our nation, while they intend to flee their own nation's violence!

However, if the White Supremacists would try to extrapolate that into saying I agree with their racist values, to the point where I would vote for a candidate that will try and promote a racist change to our existing laws which resist that agenda, that's where I would draw the line, and resist that effort, even if I have to grit my teeth, and steady my hand in voting for a liberal Democrat, in order to defeat the racist candidate. 

Similarly, I support the very conservative candidates that come from predominantly Mormon states, like Utah, without feeling I am supporting anyone's Mormon values, which tend to place their values from the so-called "Book of Mormon" ahead of Biblical values, whenever there is an apparent conflict between the two.  I have yet to find an example of their (as I see it) erroneous values supporting anything that I find contrary to Biblical teachings, but the moment I do,  I will resist them, even to the absolutely distasteful point of voting with the liberals against them.  Therefore, I neither consider myself as supporting Mormonism, because we vote alike on certain issues, for perhaps different reasons, than I feel that I am supporting White Supremacist groups when I vote in agreement with them, also on certain issues, only.  

If the Democrats, and Liberal (er.., I mean "moderate") Republicans have a problem with that, then "tough beans", as they say!  I don't intend to try and please them, and President Trump should not apologize for trying to maintain  a conservative voting block, but he should not go so far as to imply that they are "good people".   I do not agree with that!   They may have good intentions, but, remember the old Christian adage, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."  They are simply wrong about their White Supremacist values, and I suspect that they may be endangering their own souls by holding to them!  But that doesn't mean I must feel any shame for voting similarly with them on any completely unrelated issues to their erroneous values.  I completely reject that kind of reasoning!!!

In short, I guess you could say I reject the non-racist bigotry of the Left (how about their "reverse racism" against anything that is considered to be of interest to most white people?) , almost as much as I reject the racist bigotry of the White Supremacists.  The word "bigotry" implies the belligerent holding to values the are simply wrong, and as far as I am concerned, the Bible is the standard for deciding what I consider to be right, or wrong.  And if the White Supremacists feel they can justify their racist views Biblically, I am sorry, but I can not accept that!  I feel they are grossly in error there, and I would encourage some prayerful reconsideration on that point!  Before God may judge them accordingly! 

For that matter, I'm sure that God certainly hates the concept of slavery, which is the basis of the White Supremacists' values.  But, He never strictly condemned it.  He merely cautioned the slave holders to treat their believing slaves justly, in love, as He would want them to treat other free believers.  I assume that God was giving mankind time to adjust to His concept of freedom, and to realize that it was meant to be extended to all people, including slaves!  He did not condemn slave holders in early Christian days,  nor do I feel He will automatically condemn the White Supremacists.  I assume He is giving them time to re-examine their values, according to Biblical values, rather than the traditional  values of their ancestors.  But, at some point He may decide that they have had enough time, and I would hate to be judged as resisting God's values, simply to hold on to traditional family values!  I leave the obvious choice up to them!

Ezekiel's "Latter Days" Prophecy...

In re-reading my last few posts, it occurred to me that I have perhaps not made clear the reason I am so convinced that a Biblical prophecy, given by God to one of His prophets, around 2500 years ago,  but never yet fulfilled, seems to me to be possibly on the verge of coming to pass in the very near future. 

First, Biblical scholars have almost unanimously considered expressions like, "in the last days", and, "in the latter years", to refer to the times that precede Jesus' return for His church (which includes all those who believe in Him, and have received Him as their personal Lord and Savior, around the whole world), when He will destroy all the unrepentant sinners, and establish His Kingdom of Heaven on earth.   For those who believe this, it is always a very general clue as to the timing of the prophecy in question. 

In Ezekiel 38: 8, there is a similar reference as above when it says that God will draw the invasion force into the Middle-East, "in the latter years".  This would mean, since it was spoken 2500 years ago, that today is just as likely to be the time God is referring to as anytime previously, during these 2500 years.   But the expression, "in the latter years" indicates that it must closely precede Jesus' return.    Admittedly, this is pretty weak evidence by itself, but when you couple that with all the "signs of the times" around the world, today, it begins to look as though it could happen any time now, whereas technology was not sufficiently developed, before, for it all to come to pass.  

My interpretation that the reference, in chapter 38: 9, to "Gog's", "coming like a storm", that would be "like a cloud covering the land", may not be accurate, in  that I feel it may be a clue that God left for this generation to pick up, as previous generations would have no understanding of the concept of Poison Gas being use in warfare.   Also, His warning (in Matthew 24) to not come down from the rooftops, but to flee to the mountains, immediately, agrees, as Sarin Gas in particular (like Syria's Assad has shown a proclivity to use against his enemies) is heavier than air, and quickly sinks to the lowest point around it.  (As I stated before, this will not be effective because Israel has been giving out gas masks to their citizens for decades, precisely because of this prophecy). 

Also, the burning of their enemies weapons for seven years, that Israel is prophecied to do, in chapter 39: 9,  was not credible until Russia had recently developed a way to produce a form of composite wood that is lighter, stronger and more flexible than steel, with which they can produce tanks and trucks.  And our technology has produced neutron nuclear devices that can kill large numbers of enemy forces, without harming the infrastructure around them, such as buildings, tanks, and trucks.  We have given this technology to the Israelis, who according to reports, may have used this against the Al Quaida rebels in Yemen, disguising their planes as Saudi Arabian jets. 

All this may be completely wrong, I know, but it is a series of coincidences that make it all seem unlikely to happen, without a reason.  And, I believe the reason is that God is preparing the scene  for a great battle that will show His people, along with the unbelieving world (or the "heathen", as God refers to them), that Israel is still the land He gave to His Chosen People, and that He has forgiven them for the centuries of their rebellion against Him.  Other things will also result from this destruction of Israel's enemies, such as (perhaps) the "rapture" of the church!!!  (Read about it in my Archival footnotes at the end of my Post for August 4!!!)

Since Congress Won't "See The Light"...

...Make them "feel the heat"!!! (as Ronald Reagan so succinctly put it!)

Okay...!  So, it seems impossible for Congress to manage to "Repeal, and Replace" Obamacare???  Fine!!!   That leaves two things for President Trump to do:  1)  get a business friendly tax cut (especially for small businesses, and for the middle class, who depend the most upon them for jobs) passed through Congress, as quickly as possible... and,  2)  make an Executive Order rescinding Congress' exemption from having to pay 72% of their premiums for their insurance coverage under "Obamacare".   In that order!!!

It's abundantly clear that the Democrats will not vote to "Repeal and Replace", under any circumstances!  Neither will the two Democrats that are "hiding in (Republican) clothing"; Collins of Maine, and (whatshername) from California.  So, Trump must concentrate his efforts on getting a tax cut passed, while the moderate Republicans think they have him fooled into believing they are really trying to pass his agenda.  Once they realize he knows he must consider them enemies to his agenda, they will openly resist passing any of it!  And, as long as they are exempt from "Obamacare's" financial pain, they will not repeal it, since Trump would never exempt them from any replacement.    But, after a truly beneficial tax cut is safely passed in time to save their Republican majority in Congress, with the 2018 elections drawing closer daily, he can safely rescind their Obama-era exemption, which will leave Congress no choice but to "Repeal and Replace" Obamacare,  since their premiums will sky-rocket, worse than everyone else's.   He must get the tax cut passed first, though, because after he rescinds the Congressional exemption, he can bet that the Democrats, and the moderate Republicans would love to resist him on any other legislation he proposes, simply out of revengeful bitterness.   They could care less how anything harms the people, they just want to "stick it to him" out of their own bitterness!!!  But, if the tax cut is in place, and they are forced to replace "Obamacare" because it will hurt them, if they don't,  the effects on the economy , and the people will probably be enough for the Republicans to maintain control of Congress, in 2018.  Afterwards, the gratitude of the constituents will be evident enough for even the bitterest Congressman, or woman (except Congresswoman Maxine Waters, of California; who is a blithering idiot, anyway) to legitimately get on board with the rest of his agenda,  with 2 more years to put it in place before he needs to worry about his own reelection, in 2020.

This type of Congressional manipulation should not be necessary, but with an appalling lack of true statesmen in Congress, today, and all those self-serving demagogues trying to perpetuate their "cushy jobs" (no matter how much they hurt the country) President Trump must show that he can out-devious those devious sons-of-you-know-what that he is forced to work with.  After a rebound of the economy, and a resumption of high employment, due to 8 years of Trump's agenda at work, perhaps enough of  the less sophisticated voters will see clearly enough to throw these rascals out of office, and elect some real statesmen, and women, to the Congresses of the future.  Perhaps President Pence will have a much better relationship with Congress, if they do!!!

Why Would Russia Need It's Own Army, To Invade?

By their alliance with Iran, Russia has set themselves up to begin their Middle-East invasion (prophecied to happen in Ezekiel 38, & 39) almost entirely with their ally's "surrogate army", plus some advanced Russian technology.  I suppose their invasion could progress quite well with Iranian troops doing most of the "dirty work" while Russia calmly organizes their own troops, and flies them into their recently acquired air force base in northern Syria, to be a second wave of reinforcements to "mop up" their conquest of Israel, and probably begin to proceed on to their real goal of conquering the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, and the other Gulf States in the region.  Iran would be ecstatic over the opportunity to finally drive Israel "into the Mediterranean Sea", with all the genocidal implications of Hitler's "Final Solution"!  They have been proclaiming their desire to do so for decades!

Iran already has enough troops to seriously threaten Israel, spread throughout Syria, and their comparative proximity to Israel makes them capable of mounting an invasion at any time, with sufficient immediate reinforcements that Russia would not need to rush their troops to the front, immediately.  This could give the international news media time to get used to calling this the "Iranian invasion of Israel" (though the Bible makes it clear that Russia is the real instigator, here).   It would probably succeed, too, except for their own murderous greed, issued in the form of a Poison Gas attack (which seems to be described in the Ezekiel prophecy),  and the subsequent release of Israel from any responsibility to retaliate in kind (probably with neutron nuclear aerial bombardments, and artillery barrages!).  Both the Poison Gas attack , and the neutron nuclear retaliation would be technical violations of international treaties (so much for the value of international law!!!), and Israel could not legitimately be held responsible, though I'm sure the world will try to condemn them, anyway!  (I guess Israel is supposed to meekly stand by while their entire population is murdered!!!)

Anyway, the Bible clearly says that Israel will be overwhelmingly victorious, eventually destroying up to 83 1/3rd % of their enemies' invasion force, while there is little evidence of Israeli casualties written about in the prophecy.  (The Poison Gas attack will fail because Israel has been giving out gas masks to their people for decades, precisely because of God's prophetic warning, written some 2500 years ago!!!)   Israel will be busily "burning" the weapons of their enemies ( Tanks and trucks, etc. made of composite wood, which Russia is rumored to have developed, because of it's stronger and more flexible properties than steel!!!).  This will be such a huge project that Israel will not need to cut down any trees for wood fuel, for seven years!  (Is this the seven-year "Tribulation Period"???)

It would seem logical that their victory (which God says will be His way of showing the whole world that he still lives, and that he will not turn his back on Israel any longer) might be the impetus for the prophecied regathering of all the "Diaspora Jews" from around the world, to return to the Holy Land!!!

(Gosh!  Do I seem a bit obsessed with this prophecy!???  Oh well...)

A Classic Case Of "Spiritual Wickedness"...

I really think I've got it now!!!  After nearly seven months of confusion over the intransigence of Congress, and not only the Democrats (whose resistance to the Trump agenda could certainly be expected), but also the so-called "Establishment Republicans", whose "moderate" views seem to differ very little from the leftist values of the so-called "Progressive" Democrats.  The reason for their obstructionism seems so illogical for people who were sincerely elected  by their constituents, who expect honest leadership from their representatives, and who will eventually hold their leaders  accountable if they don't get it!  Perhaps the Democrats can survive such political chicanery while supposedly serving the people, but it seems to me the "Establishment Republicans" are committing political suicide, especially those from heavily Conservative locations.

I can think of only two reasons why they might think the risk to be worthwhile.   One, they may be being paid huge sums of  money to their "re-election coffers", by the real political power-brokers in Washington, the greedy Lobbyists.  They may feel that this money can be used to sway voters, no matter how corrupt their record seems.  And it may be so much that they may feel a loss would be   acceptable, since they are allowed to keep any unspent campaign money, afterwards (how this differs from legally acceptable bribery,  I'll never understand!  And it seems the whole Washington Lobbying industry is based on the practice).  Still most people would wonder what could make politicians  react in such greedy ways, when the cost to the American people would seem so dire.

For a Born-Again Christian to not see the obvious is truly embarrassing to admit!!!  But, I've come to believe there has to be a spiritual battle going on in the District, now, and the victory, or defeat will have dire consequences on one constituency or another, depending on who wins, God, or you-know-who!!!  Ephesians 6:12 says, "...we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,  against spiritual wickedness in high places." This, I feel, explains it all!

I saw on FOX NEWS today a report on the Bible study that Cabinet members of the Trump administration hold, in the White House, sometimes attended by the President, and Vice President (when their schedules allow).  This was reported as the first time in history that such a collection of believers have been gathered together in the same administration!  No wonder that Satan is pulling out all stops to obstruct their agenda!  He certainly does not want this to become a political habit!!!

Evil people commit evil because "they feel like it"!  But they don't "feel like it", solely of their own volition.  Satan spends years, at times, cultivating a "knee-jerk response" to his temptation to sin; until the sinner feels he is responding to his own desires, and no longer recognizes  the sinful source of those desires.  This must be the basis of this absolutely un-Godly assault upon everything that the Trump administration seeks to implement, as part of their agenda!  Even the Democrats must realize the harm that their obstructionism is having upon the country, as a whole.   But, they probably have such a low regard for the collective wisdom of their constituents, that they are confident they can put it all over on them, and still get re-elected (rightly, or not).

The only conclusion for a believing Christian to have to this crisis, is to collectively fall on our knees, and pray for God to intervene in the hearts of these people, and either bring them to repentance, or to confuse their efforts to destroy this country, before it's too late.  God has given us all the free will to either stand for righteousness, or not.  He will not violate that right, unless enough believers earnestly pray for His Divine assistance!   So, how many believers does he consider to be. "enough"???  I'd say that we probably need one more praying Christian!  And you're it!!!


UPDATE:  (Two hours after publishing the above post)
Right after I published the above,  I hurriedly turned on today's 700 CLUB, on C.B.N.  Pat Robertson was almost angrily excoriating the Congress, almost vilifying them for their hypocrisy, concerning their unwillingness to repeal "Obamacare".  He had just discovered that they had collectively approached former President Obama to ask for relief from the tenants of his insurance bill, which he apparently complied with, in order to get it passed.   He apparently signed an Executive Order to allow the Office of Personnel Management to classify both the House and Senate as "Small Businesses", (even though they manage trillions of dollars per year)  allowing them to have taxpayers pay as much as 72% of their insurance premiums, which can run as high as $1200.00 per year (or is it $12,000.00, I forget which; I'm sure they consider it to be "chump change", either way) for each member of Congress.  Talk about egregious fraud!  Where is the F.B.I. Independent Counsel, on that one!!!  Of course , the rest of America has to cough up the full premium themselves!  Perhaps this is the real reason that they couldn't bring themselves to repeal "Obamacare"!!!

I can understand now why Sen. McCain voted against repealing "Obamacare", since he is probably facing an expensive chemotherapy treatment for his just discovered brain cancer.  But the rest of Congress is without excuse, and should be roundly condemned for their hypocrisy!!!  Pat Robertson put the Congressional Phone # on the television screen (202-224-3121) and told the audience to tie up the line with complaints to their Congressmen, and Women.

The good news about this is that their unworthy subsidy was only established by an Executive Order, and can be revoked by another one, which President Trump has just threatened to do if they don't repeal and replace "Obamacare" soon.   Yes folks, this is our friendly, and compassionate Congress at work for us,  today ; just so long as they don't have to play by the same rules that we do!!!
